Tillac, founded in the XIIIth Century, is
a delightful example of a ‘castelnau de plaine’, predating the bastides
or fortified villages which are a feature of the region. Situated in
the valley of the river Boues, Tillac is surrounded by wooded hills and cornfields
with the Pyrenees in the distance.
